Ron Bondoc

London, Service Dog

United States Air Force Veteran Ron Bondoc who retired after 20 years of service. Our team trained London as a service dog & matched him with Ron. Below is Ron’s personal testimony of how important a service dog is to a veteran and how having London has changed his life. “London & I met each other at the time of our lives when we both needed each other. London means the world to me. As a PTSD Service Dog, he calms me when I’m anxious especially when we fly & stay at airports. He can pick up when I’m stressed and tries to bark to help me shift my focus to thinking of something more positive. When I’m depressed, he looks at me and tries to pull me out of bed so I can walk him outside. He nudges me when I fall asleep and have nightmares. Without him ,my life is incomplete. I want to give a special thanks to the owners Brad andJamie Norton for training London & pairing him with me. We are the perfect match. “

Jonathan J.

Jester, Service Dog

Jonathan was a Captain in the United States Army for 8 years including a year long deployment in Afghanistan. He is a disabled veteran, who’s service dog has had a profound impact on his life. The following is from Jonathan himself. “Jester and I met each other when we both needed each other the most. I needed a PTSD service dog and Jester wanted and loves to work. This training team taught Jester to calm me when I am having anxiety attacks. Before I had Jester, I felt uncomfortable to enter any public areas such as stores or events. Now, he allows me to go in to crowds and lines and I am comfortable knowing he has my back. When I have nightmares, Jester lays on top of me to calm me down. We are attached at the hip, and without him I do not know what would happen. He is a miracle. None of this would have been possible without Brad and Jamie’s(owners of RDFH) training and help.”

Angie Jackson

Stanley, Service Dog

Angie Jackson 8 years of service in the United States Army. Please take a moment to read Angie & Stanley’s story. “As a military veteran and single mother , I have struggled with anxiety for quite some time. During the pandemic, my anxiety was at an all-time high, so I decided I needed a therapy dog. Stanley provides deep pressure therapy and has been a God send on my worst days. Having him totally changed everything for me in the best way. Now, when I have anxiety, Stanley picks up on it immediately & provides deep pressure therapy, which in turn eases my anxiety and stress right away. Stanley was so awesome that we decided to add another dog to our pack (Atlas) in May 2023. Atlas was actually another rescue from here, and while he is totally different than Stanley, he has fit into our family perfectly! He is funny, goofy, and occasionally naughty, but he is great at providing comedic relief after a stressful or anxious day. I can’t thank this team enough for providing me with the best boys a girl could ask for. Forever grateful.”

Kami Beckwith

Maverick, Service Dog

Please take a moment to read Kami & Maverick’s story. An individual who faces adversity head on and still finds the courage to endure. “This team has been amazing in setting up the foundation for my wingman, Maverick. During COVID, I went completely deaf. Fortunately, Maverick was already well on his way to work for me as a hearing service dog. How exactly does he help me “hear”? Here are a few examples of our real world experiences. While out in a large park, I was throwing a ball for Maverick & dropped my keys. Maverick is trained to pick up anything I drop (I don’t hear it hit the ground). He wasn’t near me to know I lost them. We came back several hours later. “Find my keys” & off he went. Nose to the ground until he caught the scent & then he went running to the other end of the field. My smart boy found them & brought them back to me. Maverick is trained to respond to my name being called. We were in Portugal looking for an apartment. Those European addresses can be confusing. How do I know the landlord called me from an upstairs balcony? Maverick got excited, turned me around, & took me straight to her door. When we hike and there’s a noise above us, he will alert me by stopping and looking up. As soon as I look up & pet his head in acknowledgement, we continue walking. It’s a completely different alert from my name being called. He also does this for bicyclists. Misty trained him to lean on me and move me out of the way. His reaction makes me stop and look behind me. Tens of thousands of dollars have been put into my special boy. When he was attacked by a loose dog in our neighborhood, I was devastated. All that training and money can be lost in a second. That attack could’ve easily made him what we call a “wash” where he is no longer able to do public access. My first contact was to this team.It was their employee Christmas party. They still made time for us and said to bring him in right away to play with other service dogs. Maverick is still working for me and I am sooo grateful to Brad & Jamie & this training teams help. I am adverse to attention being on me, but I can’t imagine the quality of life Maverick has allowed me to continue with his guidance. He surpassed my expectations. This team can provide this same miracle for our Nations Hero’s. They aren’t just great at training; they also become family.”

Officer Nicole B.

Remi, Service dog

Law enforcement Officer Nicole B. For her safety & and privacy, we will not share her department or last name. Please take a moment to read Nicole & Remi’s story.
“Remi came into my life at the perfect time. Remi is my absolute everything. Being a police officer, I have a very high stress job and see things people should never see. Remi helps calm me when I’m stressed, and I have peace of mind whenever I take her out, knowing she listens to all commands. Remi goes everywhere with me, including airplanes. This team turned Remi into a dog that helps to relieve my anxiety & stress. Shortly after getting Remi back from
training, I had to have major knee surgery from a work incident. I was on crutches, unable to bear weight on that leg for 3 months. I was able to take Remi out on a leash while on crutches without her pulling or making it difficult. She was also able to be off leash without any issues
while I was on crutches. This made our lives so easy considering the situation.
Remi and I recently flew to Texas to be with my dad, who is a Veteran. We had to take my dad to the VA every day for his radiation treatments. Remi brought so much joy to my dad and all the veterans at the VA. Everyone was asking where she was trained and wanted the training
facilities information. This happens everywhere we go. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, I always recommend this training team and the services they offer to other individuals in need. I want to give a huge thank you to the owners, Brad and Jamie that made this all possible and providing me with the best possible K9 companion and Best Friend. RDFH is an amazing non-profit that helps veterans and all service men and women get paired with dogs to help with their PTSD and other medical needs. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, I always recommend RDFH’s services to other individuals in need. ”
