About Us

Mission Statement

At Rescue Dogs for Heroes, our mission is to provide a second chance at life for rescue dogs and to create life-changing opportunities for disabled veterans, first responders and Child Heroes born with mental or physical health challenges. We believe that every hero deserves a loyal companion, and every four-legged friend deserves a loving home. Our organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from shelters and training them to become skilled service animals and amazing companions. We understand the unique challenges these brave men, women and children face, and we are committed to making a positive impact on their lives.

We are driven by the belief that the bond between humans and dogs is one of the most powerful and healing connections. Our non-profit works tirelessly to match these highly trained dogs with those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and well-being, and for the children that have been fighting since birth. Whether it’s providing emotional support, physical assistance, or simply being a steadfast friend, our dogs play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our veterans, first responders and these amazing children. Rescue Dogs for Heroes is not just about providing dogs; it’s about creating a community of support and understanding, where individuals can find strength, purpose, and a sense of belonging.

With unwavering dedication, we strive to raise awareness about the mental health and physical challenges faced by these heroes and the incredible abilities of rescue dogs. We are determined to make a lasting impact, one wagging tail and one rehabilitated life at a time. Together, we can honor and support those who have served our communities and our country, aiding these amazing children in a happier lfe, all while giving these incredible dogs a new lease on life. Rescue Dogs for Heroes is more than a non-profit; it’s a movement of compassion, gratitude, and the unwavering belief in the power of second chances.

Our Services

What is a rescue dog?

Rescue dogs are remarkable and resilient creatures that often have a challenging past. Many of these dogs have faced difficult circumstances, including neglect, abuse, abandonment, multiple rehoming’s or homelessness. Despite these hardships, they exhibit incredible resilience and an unshakable spirit, which makes their stories all the more inspiring. Their journey from adversity to a new beginning is a testament to the indomitable will of these animals. When given a chance at a loving home and a caring family, they demonstrate an astonishing capacity to heal, trust, and form deep connections with humans. Their struggles serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of adoption and the life-changing impact it can have on these four-legged survivors. Rescue dogs' stories are not only a source of inspiration but also a powerful testament to the transformative power of love, compassion, and second chances. These animals, once in dire straits, often go on to become beloved family members, therapy dogs, or even heroes themselves, embodying the idea that every life, regardless of its past struggles, has immeasurable worth and potential. The journey of a rescue dog is a remarkable narrative of resilience and hope that touches the hearts of all who have the privilege of welcoming them into their lives.
